Hi Grandma, Goodbye Grandma

On February 18th my sweet Grandma John passed away, and my Mom and Dad decided that they would make the trip home from Argentina for the funeral.

Being 36 weeks pregnant, I was super nervous about taking a trip to Utah, but was not about to miss seeing my mom and dad and saying goodbye to grandma. So we headed down.

It was so fun to be together as a family again. If even just for a weekend.

We went down Saturday morning after Jack's basketball game and the funeral was on Monday in Brigham City.

It was very cold at the cemetery!

For the first time in almost 15 years the entire John family was together.

After the luncheon we headed back to Grandma's House to help go through her things and clean out the house so it can be sold. I spent a lot of my childhood in this house.

My grandpa John passed away almost 24 years ago. Love this picture of him that hangs in the basement.

This room used to have 3 little fold up beds in it that we slept in every Christmas eve and every time we spent the night.

Grandma hadn't been the Grandma I remembered for last year or so, she didn't even know who she was and how wonderful she is. I am so glad that she is back in the arms of my Grandpa.

Getting Ready For Baby

Feeling the crunch at 35 weeks I thought I better get going on the nursery.

The changing table cover was on the bottom of my list because I HATE sewing with minky, and this is extra furry minky, but I got it for a steal of a deal and couldn't resist using it. It turned out just as I wanted and it is extremely soft!

The carseat cover turned out so cute, and I am almost done with the crib quilt.

I dug through EVERY bin in our storage room to find the missing bin of baby stuff. Success. The storage room may never recover!

And it wouldn't be a baby update without documentation of my feet. 36 weeks and my feet, legs, knees and thighs are HUGE. These are my size 11 shoes. I have one pair that fit and they were kind of pricey for should I will only wear for a short while, but I was getting desperate!

Valentine's Day

Jack and Ivy were sick the weekend of Valentine's.  We had a 4 day weekend from school and Jack barely made it to his Valentine's Party. I dropped him off for it.

Brooke was having a great day until she came home and fell down in the road AGAIN.  That girl and the road in front of our house is cursed. Luckily she didn't need stitches this time.

Valentine's morning we watched dirt being dumped in the backyard. So exciting.

And the big mama even got all dressed up to go out to dinner. I am 34 weeks and 6 days in this picture.

We were supposed to go get pizza, but Vince begged us to stop and eat at his favorite seafood place.
SEAFOOD! I HATE SEAFOOD! He promised the chicken fingers would be good and it wouldn't smell like fish in there. I was soooooo hungry that I said okay.

It was actually fine. And pretty good. Jack loved his Salmon thing. Yuck.

I wasn't feeling very good that day so sadly I forgot to take pictures of the cute little gifts I got the kids and the little party we had when we got home from dinner. I made a strawberry cheesecake and it was delish.
