Dropped the Ball

So apparently I dropped the ball on sports for Jack.

Did you know by 4 years old most boys have already completed at least 1 year of soccer, basketball, football and T-ball?

Where have I been?

Jack has never participated in anything!

So I decided I better sign him up for Pee Wee Basketball at the Idaho Falls YMCA
(Never you mind the coaches butt, I hope the lady next to me knew I was taking pictures of Jack and not her husband)
Tonight was his first practice/game and I have never laughed so hard in my life!  All those 4 year olds chasing balls and trying to dribble was too much for me and I seriously laughed hysterically for the entire hour.
Poor little Jack needed lots of help.  As Vince watched his son play ball he said, "I think I work too much."  Apparently he needs to spend a little more time with Jack. I would totally be on board with that.

I like to call this one.....Granny Shot

.....Little Dribbler

And my personal favorite.....Chasing Butterflies.

He may not have known what was going on at any one point of the night, but he sure had a great time, and even prayed tonight that he could go back to basketball.
I suppose I will keep him :)

Happy Birthday Brookie!

Brooke turned 2 on Saturday! And her favorite part was the "boons"!

She got a baby that giggles and coos.
And she decided she better make sure the baby baba was safe.

I found this Beauty Salon at a second hand store and had to have it!  We had this same salon growing up and my mom still has it today at her house.  They don't make them like this anymore.  She loved it, and Jack was pretty excited too!

I spent 40 minutes working at that darn chandelier, and I told Vince I would kill him if he ever took it down.

She knew exactly what to do!
I love how she carried that baby around all day in the crook of her arm.

Birthday Dinner!

She also got a new bike from Grandma Wheatley and I literally had to pry her off that thing!

Happy Birthday Stinky!

Here Mom, these are for you!

Apparently I don't know how to videotape :)

Tis the Season

There's something about Autumn time that makes me want drop everything that I have going on, force my kids into outfits they don't want to wear, drag them into the yard with candy corn in my pockets for bribing, get all sweaty, make a complete fool out of myself in front of my neighbors by acting like a crazy hyena while trying to get my kids to smile.

Ahh.  Autumn is in the air.

This was my favorite photo from the day.  She is contemplating a tantrum.

I had great plans for these photos, but instead it just looks like my kids are pooping pumpkins.
Not what I had planned at all.  At least they were smiling.

And it just wouldn't be October if I didn't get my kids dressed in their Halloween getup 3 1/2 weeks before the actual holiday and chase them around with the camera.  It's just what I do.

Brookie and I will be Matchy Matchy for Halloween this year.  I just couldn't resist.

And Jack....

I did ask Vince if he wanted to be Matchy Matchy with Jack this year too, but sadly he declined.

I let Jack pick out his own costumer this year, even though I was really pulling for a "Caption Jack Sparrow", or an Army Guy, but alas, he saw the Giraffe costume and wouldn't let it go. At least he can't blame ME for it when he gets older.  He did this to himself.

He does look pretty cute though. (it reminds of the kid on "A Christmas Story" coming down the stairs in his bunny suit)  Precious.
