Kenecott

After living in Utah all my life (well, most of my life) I finally made the horrendous drive from my parent's house (20 minutes) out to see Kennecott Copper Mine. You would think that at some point in Elementary School we would have taken a field trip out there, maybe I was sick that day.

Nobody makes a big deal about it anymore, but I thought it was really cool. A HUGE hole, how cool is that! Jack was also very impressed by the big trucks.
And now for the EXCITING NEWS......

After months of training, Brooke is finally mobile!
It was super exciting at first, but now I wish she would just sit still.

Summer

Swimming with the cousins at Grandma Jane's

Tautphaus Park Zoo

(That double stroller was the single best purchase of my life!)

(Jack doesn't go anywhere without his shades)

Carousel & Swings in Rexburg

(I seriously almost threw up! That thing goes around TOO MANY times for only a dollar!)

On Saturday we helped Grandpa George out by changing the water, well Vince & Jack helped, I supervised from the car. However, while sitting in the car with Brooke, we were attacked by
THIS GUY!

Now granted, this might be a girl cow, but I swear it had a thing for me. He kept trying to get in the car, and those of you who know me, KNOW that I don't enjoy being up close and personal with animals. Luckily, Brooke and I both survived! # 16, you will always have a special place in my heart ♥

Thunder Thighs

Good thing she's got thick thighs, otherwise I would have found her on the floor.

Fourth

Ahhhhh. Summer is finally here.

We spent the 4th of July weekend in Utah, and look out! My mother had prepared a Jam Packed Schedule, so this post is packed with pictures illustrating such!

FRIDAY:

Swimming in the Backyard (no pictures, camera was not to be found)

Rockets & Chalk Drawings

Scooters & Snaps

This is the swing that fell last year with Mom and Liz in it, Vince is brave, you won't see me in that thing!

And of course, what would the 4th be without a Talent Show!

Jack was a little nervous and messed up Itsy Bitsy Spider, Good Job Buddy!

After a quick History Lesson and some Lady Liberty Torches, it was off to the deck for a sleepover.

From what I understand, not much sleeping took place.

SATURDAY:

We drove up the Canyon so these Manly Men could do some fishing.

John was the only one who caught anything, but at least they all looked the part.

And of course it rained on our picnic and Brooke enjoyed her coveted shelter!

The kids had fun painting, playing with Moon Sand, blowing bubbles and fishing.

And now I would like to show you all what a man who truly loves his wife looks like:

Saturday night we went to the Buzz Game and Vince helped me carry some of our stuff. Thanks Babe!

The fireworks were supposed to be at 10:00pm, but the game was tied for 12 innings. We ended up leaving early at 11:30pm and watching the fireworks from the car. The game was a blast and the perfect way to end our 4th in Utah!

SUNDAY:

We drove home Sunday for a Byram Family Reunion and we able to meet Jack and Brooke's newest cousin Chloe.

She was born on June 30th and Vince's sister Stacie and her husband Kevin were able to meet her and bring her home on July 2. We are so happy for them and are so glad that they have been blessed with two beautiful girls through adoption. Congrats Stacie & Kevin!
