Hawaii

Day 1- June 3rd
Dropped the kids off in Soda Springs and someone had a nice long nap on our way to the airport.

We met up with these crazies and 900 lbs of luggage!

A couple of flights and Dramamines later we arrived at the Grand Wailea!

 Aloha!

 Day 2 - June 4th
Beach day at the Grand Wailea

Dad is such a good sport to carry around all our crap!

We discovered water boarding on this trip and LOVED it!

Dinner was at Tommy Bahamas- DELISH!

Day 3 - June 5th

We drove the road to Hana and almost died a few times.
Then stopped to hike through the Bamboo Forest.

It was so hot.  Like 4000 degrees!

  But Gorgeous!

On this particular day I received 10 ginormous itchy and hideous mesquite bites on my legs!

And Vince got a fabulous hornet sting while posing for this photo!

But the falls were totally worth it! I can't remember what these falls were called!

We stopped again at a place I like to call Windy Point!
It was so incredibly windy!

Then we drove to Black Sand Beach!  Huge waves and coolest black sand!

The road to Hana had wore our driver out!

Then a little stop at Coconut Glen's for some questionable Ice Cream.

We stopped in Paia for dinner.
Where one of our mini vans was robbed.

Craziest story ever.
Woman sees man breaking into our van.
Woman sees man and woman steeling stuff out of the van and putting it into their truck
Woman calls police from her car.
Robbers see woman calling police on her phone and she pulls out of the parking lot, still on the phone.
Robbers jump in their truck and pursue woman.
She is still on the phone with police.
Robbers chase woman for over 10 minutes.
Woman leads them to a parking lot full of police.
The good Samaritan wins!

We get back to our vehicles after dinner to find a police report on the windshield and lots of valuables missing.
Liz, Abby, Katherine and Taurean are the main victims.
They are sad.
Police man shows up and returns almost all our stuff!!!  Including a $2000 Go pro camera full of video from our trip.

Things not recovered.
Liz's bra-saddest story ever
Katherine's camera and sunglasses
Taureans wallet- including drivers license, credit cards and social security card.

I credit getting our things back to the fact that Dad found an Ipad in the airplane seat on our flight over, and went through great lengths to make sure it was returned to the owner.
Good karma.

Day 4- June 6th
Relaxing day at the hotel

Well, not relaxing for mom, who we dragged in to the pool and water slides.  We were so proud of her, she has NEVER been down a water slide!

Vince and Tom were there to catch her at the bottom!

Later that night, dad secretly delivered a necklace for each girl to our Hotel rooms with a knock and run.
Each necklace had a sweet note and instructions to wear them to dinner.
Best Dad ever!

All of us in our necklaces!

Day 5- June 7th

We hit the road early for some snorkeling.

Vince loved carrying the snorkel gear.

And snorkeling never looked so good!

We ate lunch at Da Kitchen and Vince is still talking about his meal.
And Liz can't help but photo bomb every photo.

Dinner that night at the
Humuhumunukunukuapua'a at the Hotel.

Day 6 - June 8th
We went to church and somehow Vince ended up with a tray of bread for the meeting.
The deacon never came back to get it. So funny.

Then we drove to the Ioa Needle

 And went to Twin Falls

Nothing like a hike in the rain!

Abby hurt her foot and was in need of some assistance for the rest of the trip.
Dinner that night was at Mama's Fish House.
Everyone said it was amazing. I wouldn't know, I don't eat fish.  I had the pork and ended up a little sick.

But I did get my photo on the beach with my man. So I called the night a success.

Day 8, June 9th  Last day
Breakfast at the hotel was so delish!
We spent the day at the beach and exploring the hotel.

Oh yeah, and all the girls went to the spa!

We ended up being able to stay in 2 rooms until 6pm, so everyone piled into my and Katherine's rooms.

And we headed to dinner at the Humuhumu again.

Then off to the airport!
Where Taurean had a heck of a time getting onto a plane without a driver's license.

And Abby was embarrassed by her sisters who mad the biggest deal ever about her wheelchair and made quite a scene.  Sisters.....Sisters.......

Thanks Mom and Dad for another unforgettable trip!
