Homeless and Moving- A True Story of Courage

One Monday night during our Homeless period, we took the kids to Idaho Falls and told them we were going to a bunch of stores to get stuff for the house (pretty much all we ever did anyway). Surprise! We took them to a movie. They were so excited!

After all, they were tired of living out of suitcases at Grandma's.
And sleeping on the floor.

And wearing the same thing to school over and over again.
There were tired of eating dinner at the shop, while in the middle of late nights working on the house.

And tired of looking like homeless people at church on Sundays.

But I don't think Brooke and Ivy were mad about the occasional lunch at Target.

They really liked that!

The county finally let us have our Certificate of Occupancy even though we didn't have concrete steps or a driveway yet. So we could move stuff in!

Once again, Modern Plumbing saves the day! As I am a useless pregnant woman.
They carried almost ALL our belongings into the house using a bucket for steps.
Couches, tables, mattresses, beds...ROCKSTARS!
However, they did mention that the Boss has too many boxes labeled MASTER CLOSET.
I assured them it was all Vince's shoes. Shhh.

Here is Ivy telling Daddy to get out of Mommy's hot tubby.

It was finally starting to look like a house

And wouldn't you know it, the concrete guys finally showed up one day, just 6 weeks late.

We were still sleeping at Grandma's, and I would go over to the house everyday and unpack things.

During this time Ivy took her first nap in a big girl bed, and caused trouble all the rest of the time she was awake.
