Labor Day at the Cabin

We drove down to Park City early Friday morning.
Some of us were more tired than others.

We had a fabulous time swimming.  Liz conducted a little swim class for the kiddies.
She promised a dollar to each kid who would swim down and pick up the dive stick.  Poor gal is currently broke.

Grandma and Bella, Me and Ives

Me and Ivy had our own little swim class.

After everyone was out of the pool, Grandma and Jack had a horsey race.
Brooke watching the horsey race from the side lines

Grandma had little Indian Theme for the weekend activities.
And in case you didn't know, my dad is an AMAZING artist.  My art projects in grade school always won first prize ;)

The first night at the cabin there was insane lightening and thunder. Here are the kids watching for lightening.
And Jack playing a little "Who Stole the Cookies"

The mural is done!

After braving the rain and Swiss Days in Midway, we came back for some Indian/Hunger Games activities!

Brooke doesn't like guns, and that is that.

Jack on the other hand couldn't get enough of the guns!

Abby and Mom, such naturals.

There was drum making and chanting.  Liz, you have got to forward Dad's Indian Chant on to me.  Best thing ever!

And in case you have never been to the cabin, I should point out that there is in fact a TeePee that permanently resides in the backyard.

We went on a little Indian hike where we found snakes...

and some arrow heads.  Brooke was thrilled to be walking.  Trek flashback.

Love this one of Grandma telling the kids about the different kinds of plants.

All the girls' dollies got an Indian dress.  Brooke was a little disappointed that it wasn't PINK, but she warmed up to it. Because in Brooke's world, everything must be pink.

We finished off the evening with some fun on the playground and remote control cars on the driveway. So fun!

And then the weekend was over :(
And it was time to go home.

While we unloaded the car the kids ran through the sprinklers.

Perfect way to end the holiday.
